We protect personal information carefully and only use it to provide EAP support, operate the service and meet our professional, legal and safety obligations.
Emerald Tree Psychological Therapies and EAP provides confidential counselling, wellbeing and workplace support services. We handle personal information in a respectful, secure and privacy-conscious way, including in line with applicable Australian privacy obligations and professional standards.
Depending on how you use the EAP service, we may collect your name, contact details, organisation, access details, appointment or enquiry information, support preferences, messages you send us and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the portal.
We use information to respond to enquiries, provide EAP access, support bookings, deliver wellbeing resources, manage risk and safety, maintain service quality, meet record-keeping obligations and communicate with you about the service you requested.
Your employer does not receive your counselling notes, individual resource history, private messages or booking details. Employer reporting is aggregated and de-identified unless you give consent or disclosure is required for safety, legal or professional reasons.
We may share information with authorised Emerald Tree team members, secure service providers, clinical supervisors or professional advisers where needed to operate the service. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, or where there is a serious risk to health, safety or wellbeing.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access. Access is limited to people who need it for their role.
You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some records may be subject to clinical, legal or safety limits.
